Chelsea has revealed Numbers for their signings as Pulisic Gets No.10 Shirt
Christian Pulisic gets Willian’s iconic No.10 shirt.
The 21-year-old USA international has taken Willian’s old number 10 shirt, following the Brazilian’s move across to Arsenal this summer. New signings Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, and Kai Havertz have all got the numbers they wore last season before switching to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have confirmed their squad numbers for the new season before their trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday.
Pulisic spent last season wearing the No.22 shirt, which will now be handed to summer arrival Hakim Ziyech.
Werner donned the number 11 he wears at RB Leipzig after Pedro leaves the Blues for AS Roma and Kai Havertz, meanwhile, has worn the No.29 throughout his career. Defensive duo Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell have been given numbers six and 21, respectively. while the former Leicester City left-back wore the number three at King Power, but that is retained by Marcos Alonso. Ross Barkley keeps number eight and Tammy Abraham is still the number nine, while Fikayo Tomori which was last worn by Tiemoue Bakayoko. However, the available numbers 16, 25, 26 and 27 remain open with Rannes keeper Edouard Mendy and West Ham Declan Rice could still arrive Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes October 5.
